April, 17th I was in Milan to a creative workshop during the Elita festival Wild in the City.
This event created by a cool friend of mine, a professionist I value so much, Ricardo Ramos Lazcano and it was pretty interesting.
It was centred on plush toy art. An art movement based on toys maded by cloth, plush and other textiles stuffed and than decored with stripes, drawings and all the gadget you can find and recycle.
Guests to this event were two toy artists: Davide Mancosu and Teresa Morelli, Matteo Donini (Italy's main toy art gallerer) and Igor Zanti an art critic and IED (european school of design) teacher. While the guests were talking about the story and the evolution of this kind of art, the audience was building, sewing and painting their toys!
Unfortunately I hadn't enough time to shoot photos and make my own plush :(
Many thanks to Ricardo Ramos Lazcano: ramosrick@gmail.com
